Disaster Fantasy marks this new collaboration and a return to the Northwest. In 2020, Popular Noise Records released Donnelly’s solo EP, Roses. Meanwhile, always in the studio, Kalet was working on a series of demos that would eventually serve as the foundation for Disaster Fantasy’s dark and melodic pop. Drawing inspiration from disparate genres like New Age and vocal-driven Pop, the duo crafts glittery songs as a remedy for our collective anxieties and existential dread.
